Good Morning Curlies, today's post is a follow up from last weeks wig experiment, and I have come to a couple of conclusions:

1.  Whoever said you can't have your cake and eat it too is a liar.  The wig is a great way for you ladies that are battling whether to return to extensions to feed your appetite for the quick and easy luxurious lifestyle or the nubian natural niche to satisfy both desires.

2. Going this route still allows you to undergo your daily maintenance routines while giving yourself a break from the dreadful hairstyle monotony.

3. This may be the oddest conclusion of them all but, wearing my wig made me realize when it comes to women's hair men truly "DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WANT."  Over the past weekend I've had more quality compliments and relationship advances than the entire time period I've worn my natural hair (key word was QUALITY).  Men say "black women just need to wear their real hair and stop following victim to images portrayed in the media"  but if we are guilty of following victim then men sure as hell are too.   If this was untrue they wouldn't cleave to so many women who reflect those images.  Over the course of the weekend I heard, "I love your natural hair like that" and "Wow, you should wear your hair in that style more often, it really "SUITS" you." All the while I'm thinking fool this is a wig!!!  I'm not having a soap box about black men, but all I'm saying is stop fronting like you are so disgusted with black women wearing extensions and just be honest with the world and say "as long as it looks good on you, we really don't care how you wear it."

All in all, the wig was a big success and to be honest I'm wearing it now, and probably will continue to wear it throughout the remainder of the week.  This has been your wig update, let us know what you would like to hear!!!!

Hey Ladies, so today I was finally the day that I said NO MORE!!! I'm in desperate need of a change. So I made my way out to my neighborhood beauty supply store and picked up a WIG! Now before the Natural Nazis loose their mind and decide to stone me, I would like to say that making the change is very difficult and I have survived two months without a press or a weave thus my life was lacking variety.  I NEEDED TO BE FREE!! So I bought a cheap $22.00 synthetic wig with a seemingly natural texture and this is what I ended up with:

Im still doing a little tweeking with it but overall I'm pleased.  Let me know what you think Curlies!

I'm at the doctor waiting to be called and the lady at the desk keeps asking me what type of products I use, how did I twist my hair, and how do I maintenance it nightly! MAM! It's 8am, NOT NOW!!!! #fmynatural

So yesterday morning I wake up to get ready for work and there is a jungle on top of my head.  So I go through my usual ritual of washing and blow drying, but quite honestly I was dying for a new style.  So I proceed to grab my small tooth comb to untangle my ends and low and behold the damage below:

Now by this time I was completely over it and definitely saying #Fmynatural, because I was running late for work! Thus I grabbed my flat iron through in a few curls and ran out the door.  The results:

After half a day at work I took lunch and decided to go home and put some detail touches on my hair because I had a meeting after work and didn't want to look crazy, so I picked up my broken comb and flat irons and went to town! The results:

Later I did so touching up to it and it all came together!  Finally my day was coming to a close, so as usual I picked up my gym bag and headed out the door to get my fitness on.  And wouldn't you know, a full day of curling, flat ironing, combing, and blow drying was RUINED with just an hour and a half of exercise!!!!!!

#FMYNATURAL!!!!!!!!

Recently, I decided to give my hair a break from the regular “twist n’ curl” and try some new products and straighten my hair! First things first, I did a pre-poo with “Giovanni’s Smooth as Silk, Deep Moisture Conditioner”. I left that on for about an hour and then I jumped into the shower detangled my hair with a “Jilbere Shower Comb”. I shampooed with “Kinky Curly Come Clean” and I used  the “ORS: Hair Mayonnaise” let it sit for 15 minutes under a hooded dryer, washed it out and used the  “Moroccan Oil Hair Mask Conditioner” and I sat under my “Huetiful Hair Steamer”, ( that’s my next review), for 20 minutes and then I washed it out and proceeded to style.

I should’ve let my hair dry naturally but I couldn’t wait, so I blow dried my hair on “high heat”. Afterwards, I used a quarter size amount of the “CHI Silk Fusion” all over my hair and I proceeded to straighten my hair with the “Sedu Flat iron” on 340 degrees.

Moroccan Oil Hair Mask Ingredients:
Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Linseed (Linum Usitatissimum) Extract, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Behentrimonium Chloride, Argania Spinoza Kernal Oil (Aragan Oil), Cetrimonium Chloride, Methylparaben, Fragrance Supplement, Butylphenyl, MethylPropional, Coumarin.
CHI Silk Fusion Ingredients:
Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Panthenol, Ethyl Ester of Hydrolyzed Silk, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, D&C Yellow 11, D&C Red 17, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Boron Nitride Powder.
ORS Hair Mayonnaise Ingredients: Water Aqua , Polyquaternium 32 , Glycerin , Safflower Oil Carthamus Tinctorius , Hydrolyzed Collagen , Behentrimonium Methosulfate , Cetyl Alcohol , Olive Oil Olea Europaea , Dicetyldimonium Chloride , Lanolin , Dimethicone , Phenyl Trimethicone , Panthenol Vitamin B5 , Cholesterol , Stinging Nettle Urtica Dioica , Capsicum Extract Paprika , Hydrolyzed Keratin , Egg Powder Ovum , Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , Propylene Glycol , DMDM Hydantoin , Diazolidinyl Urea , Methyl Paraben , Propyl Paraben , Brown No. 1 CI 20170 , Fragrance Parfum , Benzyl Benzoate , D'Limonene , Linalool , Alphaisomethylionone

RESULTS:
I do NOT like the “ORS Hair Mayonnaise” or the “Moroccan Oil Hair Mask.” This was my second time using both products and they made my hair feel mushy! I feel like the hair mask just sat on top of my hair and I don’t feel like it penetrated into my curly strands, it was just sitting on top and it smelled funny. If you look at the ingredient list, you can see that the ingredients are less than desirable and I shouldn’t have used that on my hair. However, I’m a product junkie and i'll tell you guys about everything I use so you don't have to waste your money on crap! I don’t like to waste my money, so I tried to give this stuff a chance but I just don’t like it. Overall, I will NEVER use these products again!

STYLING:
Although, I hated my conditioners, my press came out really nice. It’s straight but the back of my hair is see-thru because it’s dead hair that I’m trying to bring back to life! I didn’t want to go outside looking like Tale’s from the Crypt, so I threw a few tracks in this head. Before you judge, "Natural Nazi's", know that everyone needs a break and frankly I just don’t care what you think, i'm STILL a natural! Ask “taren916 on youtube” about her glue-ins and see what she thinks!

Thanks for taking the time out to read, sorry for the delayed post! My next review will be on the Huetiful Hair Steamer, until next time my little curlies!

Todays post is largely off topic, but for a great reason.  I just read someone's Facebook status who said they "feel sorry for the way society treats dark skin women" I'd like to go on record saying don't feel sorry for me.  I'm so tired of people who think they are defending dark skin women by making apologies.  I have never felt inferior to a woman no matter her skin tone. I'm not saying the issue doesn't exist, yet it is only prevalent to  those who lack self confidence.  I'm dark skinned, nappy headed and BEAUTIFUL. So don't feel sorry for me because I have nothing to be apologetic for.
